Partner with Common Ground in Valencia
We work with sports clubs, federations, national associations, and cultural organisations to create structured pathways for young athletes — combining sport development with academic integration and social inclusion in Valencia, Spain.
A Framework Built for Institutional Partners
Common Ground is a non-profit sports and cultural association registered in Valencia, Spain. We establish formal cooperation agreements with sports institutions, federations, and cultural organisations that share our commitment to athlete welfare, educational access, and social inclusion.
Our institutional partnerships are built on a clear framework: your athletes or programme participants come to Valencia with a defined purpose — sport development, academic integration, or both — and we provide the structure, support, and community to make that happen.
Sport disciplines available
All three disciplines are available across all pathway formats.
Institutional Partners We Cooperate With
We welcome cooperation enquiries from a range of institutional partners. Our agreements are tailored to the nature and goals of each organisation.

What Institutional Cooperation Looks Like
Our cooperation agreements are structured around the needs of your organisation and the athletes or participants you refer. We offer three pathway formats — adaptable to the duration and purpose of each placement.
University Degree + Sport
For institutions placing athletes who wish to pursue a recognised university qualification in Valencia alongside structured sport participation. We coordinate with partner universities to ensure academic and training schedules are compatible.
Sport + Language and Cultural Integration
For institutions placing athletes on a defined seasonal or gap-year stay — combining high-level training with Spanish language study and cultural integration. No university enrolment required.
High-Performance Development Stay
For institutions seeking a concentrated period of high-performance training in Valencia for their athletes. Academic or language components can be incorporated on request.
Support for Institutional Partners
Formal Cooperation Agreement
We establish a written cooperation agreement with each institutional partner, setting out the terms of the relationship, the responsibilities of each party, and the framework for athlete referrals.
Athlete Pathway Planning
For each athlete referred by a partner institution, we develop a personalised pathway plan covering sport integration, any academic or language components, accommodation, and administrative support.
University and Academic Liaison
Where athletes are pursuing university study, we manage the relationship with our partner universities in Valencia — including enrolment support, schedule coordination, and ongoing academic liaison.
Visa and Administrative Support
We provide guidance on student visa and short-stay requirements for international athletes, and support partner institutions and their athletes through administrative processes.
Pastoral Care and Welfare
A dedicated member of our association is responsible for the welfare of each athlete throughout their stay — providing pastoral support, community integration, and a point of contact for partner institutions.
Reporting and Communication
We maintain regular communication with partner institutions throughout each placement, providing updates on athlete progress and welfare as agreed in the cooperation framework.
The Cooperation Enquiry Process
Submit an Institutional Enquiry
Tell us about your organisation, the athletes or participants you are considering referring, and the type of cooperation you have in mind. There is no commitment at this stage.
